Reduced building opening times over the Christmas period

The University will be operating reduced building opening times over the Christmas period. Academic buildings and office spaces will be closed from 23 December to 3 January, with a small number of exceptions that have been agreed locally.

The University Libraries will remain open during this period, apart from on Christmas Day, New Year’s Day and statutory bank holidays. Specific opening hours can be found via the library’s web pages library.lincoln.ac.uk. Buildings will reopen as normal on 4 January.

Witham House will remain open during the Christmas period for worship.

For students who will be staying in Lincoln for Christmas, both the Students’ Union and the University have plans in place to ensure you are supported.  More details on the support available can be found on the Student Services web pages https://studentservices.lincoln.ac.uk/life-at-university/festive-period/ and the Students’ Union Advice Centre website https://lincolnsu.com/advice-over-christmas.

The Security team will be working throughout the Christmas period. Please call them on 01522 88 6062 if you have any concerns.

Staff and students are advised that access will only be provided to closed buildings in an emergency or to those who have been authorised in advance by their Pro Vice Chancellor or Director.

The Estates Support Desk will be closed from 16:00 on Thursday 22nd December and will reopen on Wednesday 4th January at 08:30. Any maintenance requests can be directed to the Security team during this time.
